Remedy: Wipe away these soft limescale deposits with the rough side of a kitchen sponge, or descale the containers from time to time with citric acid or vinegar.

In the Aquion ionizers, the Allsbon Dion ionizers, the Nexus X-Blue, the Ionquell Alphion and Ionquell Delphi water ionizers, sophisticated technology protects the electrodes from premature calcification.
We still recommend regular descaling, as the valves and the outlet still accumulate limescale. Depending on usage and your water hardness, this can sometimes be the case after just 6-9 months.
You can also tell when the time is right for descaling by the volume flow ratio of the alkaline water to the wastewater. After decalcification, approximately 3/5 alkaline water is created to 2/5 acidic wastewater. The more calcified the outlet of the ionizer is, the less alkaline water flows through, so the wastewater volume flow increases depending on the degree of calcification and is your indicator.
However, this does not apply to the Allsbon Dion ionizers, as their spout hardly gets calcified anymore. With these water ionizers, alkaline water production becomes irregular, especially at level 4. Fortunately, with Allsbon Dion devices this can only be expected after a year at the earliest under normal use and hard water.
