Preface to reverse osmosis technology and reverse osmosis water
Reverse osmosis is a double-edged sword. To some, it appears to be the most thorough method of water purification in order to put a passionate stop to the clearly increasing levels of pollutants in the “best controlled foodstuff, drinking water”.
On the other hand, reverse osmosis does not work according to the motto of other filter philosophies, which claim that they leave the good water components, i.e. calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium, in the droplets, but filter all pollutants out of the water.
Unfortunately, the real world looks less optimistic. Only through a radical treatment, as is the case with the reverse osmosis membrane, which really removes all dissolved substances and thus also “the good ones” from the water, can water be purified so deeply that – within the scope of possibility – it only consists of H2O, i.e. water consists.
We must not deceive ourselves: reverse osmosis water is not drinking water according to the drinking water standard. It sucks, according to a statement by the doctor Dr. med. Walter Irlacher in his “Service manual for people” Minerals out of the body “like a sponge”.
In Israel, for example, a state that has to obtain most of its water from reverse osmosis, the legislature has decreed that this water must be enriched with at least 50 mg calcium/liter for drinking water consumption, since calcium in water has a higher bioavailability than milk.
If you don't have calcium in your water, you have to eat a lot of cheese to make up for it and also have to make a lot of effort to extract the calcium from the cheese.
Therefore, Aquacentrum does not recommend drinking pure reverse osmosis water from the OSMOVEDA, but rather remineralizing it after the OSMOVEDA's really very thorough filtration process.
We see optimal remineralization in ours Hydronade® effervescent tabletsthat the water not only with the new one Trend antioxidant “H2” but also with an abundant supply of magnesium ions, of which most people tend to be deficient.
Osmoveda Use & Maintenance | Osmosis system without installation
Tap reverse osmosis water, either cold, warm or hot.
- Place a filling vessel suitable for the desired temperature under the filling neck on the pot catcher cover.
- Release the child lock by pressing the LOCK button.
- Now press the desired temperature button.
Water will flow out of the filling spout.

The inner workings of the OSMOVEDA
For reverse osmosis, the water must be pressed through the narrow pores of the reverse osmosis membrane at high pressure (here using an electric pump) after double pre-filtration through a sediment filter and an activated carbon filter. This “squeezing out” of the last dissolved substances remaining in the water leads to almost complete water purity (TDS ppm less than 50).
This pressing process takes a few minutes. During this time you can hear that the electric pump is working. She does this until the storage tank for filtered water is filled again with 1,5 liters of osmosis water. To completely fill the emptied storage tank to 1,5 liters, the pump runs for approximately 20 minutes. If you have only tapped a portion of osmosis water from the tank, it will run for a shorter period of time.
While the pump pushes the water through the membrane, the remaining water flows back into the feed water tank. In contrast to a usual stationary reverse osmosis system, no drain hose is required. This way you can set up the OSMOVEDA reverse osmosis filter anywhere you want. A water connection is also not necessary because the feed water tank can be removed with its rotating carrying handle and refilled at a sink or in the bathroom. In addition to the mobility advantage of OSMOVEDA, there is also significant water savings.
Fill 5 liters of water supply
Place the OSMOVEDA on a level surface in a well-ventilated room near a 220V electrical outlet. When doing this, avoid proximity to ovens and other radiators or direct sunlight on the device.
Fold out the carrying handle and pull the tank vertically upwards. Then fill in cold tap water up to the 5 liter mark and put the container back into the device. (Note: Before first use and after a long period of non-use, please rinse the container several times with warm water.
If you see traces of dirt or traces of limescale in the container, clean the container with a sponge and, if necessary, use a biological descaling agent such as citric acid according to the manufacturer's instructions. Please do not use vinegar as it can damage the seals in the long term)
Close the tailgate again.
Now plug the power plug into a socket (220 V). Before first use or after a long period of non-use, please read the instructions on the following page
OSMOVEDA membrane technology
Due to its minimal pore density, the non-plus-ultra-fine reverse osmosis membrane from the USA only allows water molecules and even smaller components to pass through, which are squeezed out by the OSMOVEDA pump. Anything that this membrane - which could even turn astronauts' urine into drinking water - does not let through is prevented from flowing through in the circulating rinse water, which also keeps the membrane clean, so that perfectly purified, pollutant-free drinking water is created behind the membrane stored in a germ-proof pure water tank with a capacity of 1,5 liters until consumption.

Hello Mr. O.,
Thank you for your email and your questions.
About your results:
These are very good. The mineral content will increase over time after the Osmoveda, but that's not a bad thing as a little more minerals will be dissolved in the water.
1. I have the SGS analyzes for the Minerade ceramics and also the water that comes out, see here:
These two are for the Minerade® pH2 Tab: https://www.aquacentrum.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/SGS-Report-produced-Water-by-Minerade-Tab-2016-producers-name-blurred.pdf

2. It is best to always store it in glass.
3. Osmosis water is filtered through a 3. mini hollow fiber membrane filter and then stainless steel hoses and tanks
4. After replacing one or more Osmoveda filters, you can reset the replaced filters as follows:
1. Press the top right touch button “Setting” for 3 seconds
2. Now filter 1 flashes, this is the first filter. The 2nd filter is the reverse osmosis membrane (pink filter label). The third filter is the small membrane filter behind the filters. The 4th filter is the sediment filter in the water tank, so not really interesting.
3. By pressing the “Option” button you can now jump back and forth between the 4 filters
4. By holding down the “Setting” button for a longer period of time, you can reset the respective filter to 3 lines (reset).
This should help you
All the best
Yours, Yasin Akgün

Good afternoon Mr. Akguen,
I bought an Osmoveda osmosis system from you a few weeks ago (order 33716) and have a few questions about it. But first my experiences with the device and osmosis water:
The device works as expected and is easy to use. What's nice for me is that I no longer need a kettle. The pure osmosis water doesn't taste better to me, but it tastes significantly different. It tastes much better with the Minerade stone. That was also as expected.
I have to say that I have been working intensively on the topic of water for months and know all the basic variants (Brita, Carbonit, ionizer, hydrogen, oxygen). I had only ruled out osmosis so far.
Now to my measurements (indicator drops (pH, dH) and inexpensive measuring devices (ppm, ORP)):
Our tap water:
ppm 83
i.e. 3,5
pH 7
ORP 140
After filtering the Osmoveda:
ppm 3
i.e. 0
pH 5,75
ORP 118
1 liter 3 hours with Minerade:
ppm 30
i.e. 1,5
pH 7
ORP -50
Now for my questions:
1. You probably have a post-mineralization analysis protocol with Minerade. Could you send this to me? I'm interested in all (!) specific ingredients that get into the water through Minerade.
2. What storage containers do you recommend for pure osmosis water? Can it extract plasticizers/pollutants from plastic canisters?
3. What materials does the osmosis water in the Osmoveda come into contact with?
4. What function do the “Setting” and “Option” buttons actually have?
With kind regards,
Frank O.

Dear Mr. Akgün,
The osmosis system arrived today and we put it into operation, everything is wonderful, thank you again for the voucher code!
What is behind the Setting and Option buttons? What and how can I set there?
Best regards
Sarah K
