Can the water, as I suggested above with 8,5 as a compromise, be drunk 3 liters a day forever without switching to “normal” water from time to time?

So at 8,5 there isn't a lot of hydrogen in it, rather 9,5, i.e. measured with the violet indicator.
You don't need to be afraid of the weakly powdered alkaline water, it is really weak compared to stomach acid or something, but it still has more alkaline than acidic minerals after ionization. For more information, watch our video below:
But that's not the most important thing.
The hydrogen content, which can reach over 2000ppb, is even more important.
You want to drink around 1000, i.e. pH 9,5, which is where it tastes tastiest
But you can also use pH 8,5, then only a third or half of the hydrogen is left in the water.

Using our strongest water ionizer, without adding salt, we were able to determine a hydrogen content of over 11 ppb in Munich water at around pH 2400.
And no matter what water, what pH, it's a weakly buffered base, so you can drink as much as your body wants.
Even being thirsty sometimes isn't a bad thing.
Everything is allowed, but ideally with a lot of hydrogen.
It then takes what the body needs.
An additional solution for your application would be to make the water more basic in addition to the ionizer and to reach over 1000 ppb with hydrogen, e.g. at pH 9, and then to boot the water again with hydrogen:
