Pot Water Ionizer

Aquavolta BTM 3000 water ionizer

Top ionizers have been known since 1931. They are the most original and simplest form of obtaining electrolytically activated water. None of the manufacturers have yet received a design award for it. Functionality is the priority. The devices cost around a third of what you have to invest in a suitable continuous water ionizer. They consist of an electrolysis cell with a cathode chamber (1) and anode chamber (2), which are separated by a diaphragm membrane (3). The chambers are filled manually with filtered water (4). The electrolysis is powered by a DC power supply and controlled using control buttons with a timer.

The AQUAVOLTA® BTM 3000 shown here has a capacity of 2 x 2 liters. In one operation (30 - 90 minutes depending on water hardness), 2 liters of alkaline active water for drinking (ALKALINE WATER) can be produced and filled into the supplied 2 liter storage container (5) using a tapping mechanism. At the same time, 2 liters of acidic (ACIDIC) residual water is created. When commissioning you have to Determine the electrolysis time required for the desired value of pH 9 – 9,5, which is specific to the water to be used and cannot be predicted exactly. As a rule of thumb you can state:

  • soft water up to hardness dH 9: approx. 30 min.
  • medium hard with hardness dH 10 - 15: approx. 45 minutes - hard water dH 16
  • 20: approx. 60 mins – very hard dH 21-25: approx. 75 mins
  • extremely hard over dH 25: 90 and more minutes.

“Hardness” (°dH) means the total hardness in German degrees of hardness, which you can find out from your water supplier. 1 °dH corresponds to 0,1783 mmol/l. and 1,78 °fH (French hardness).
