Continuous ionizer: internal filter
Space is often limited in kitchens, so narrow table-top devices such as the KYK AquaVolta® Basic shown above left with just one filter cartridge are popular. But that has been the case since the Fukushima nuclear disaster Offer of double filter devices increased sharply due to increased consumer sensitivity. In some areas of Central Europe, however, the tap water quality is so good that a second filter cartridge is not absolutely necessary. Devices like the Tyent® Elite 999 Turbo shown above right are because of the two integrated internal filter cartridges slightly wider than single-filter devices.
Like good household filters, the replaceable cartridges in water ionizers reduce residual pollutants such as Heavy metals, agricultural residues such as hormones, pesticides, antibiotics and of course germs of all kinds to a level that can hardly be measured. Of course, it is important that the filters are changed according to the manufacturer's instructions. The filter cartridges are usually located behind hinged doors in the housing.
